Telehealth and Care Coordination
Not every conversation requires an office visit. Legacy Veterinary Hospital offers telehealth consultations for select situations, giving you access to our team from the comfort of your home. We also coordinate referrals and specialty care when your pet’s needs go beyond what we provide in-house.
Virtual Appointments for Ongoing Care
Telehealth is available when a physical exam isn’t required, but a conversation with your veterinarian can make a difference. That includes follow-up appointments, chronic condition check-ins, medication reviews, behavioral discussions, and quality-of-life conversations. It’s the same thoughtful, unhurried approach you’d experience in our hospital, just through a screen.
This option is especially helpful for busy families, pet owners managing ongoing conditions, or anyone who wants to check in without the stress of travel for their pet. If we determine during a telehealth visit that an in-person exam is needed, we’ll help you schedule one and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Sometimes a pet’s care requires expertise or equipment beyond what a general practice can offer. When that happens, our team coordinates with specialty providers, helps you understand your options, and stays involved throughout the process so you always have a trusted point of contact. Whether it’s a complex diagnosis, an advanced procedure, or a second opinion, we’ll make sure you feel informed and supported at every step.
*All telehealth visits require a prior veterinary-client-patient-relationship and are scheduled with approval from the veterinarian.
